Scamper Days is a UK family activity directory helping parents find the best days out for their children. We operate at scamperdays.com. Our contact email is hello@scamperdays.com.

2. What information we collect

We collect information in the following ways:

  • Information you give us directly: if you submit an activity listing or contact us via our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the details you provide in the form. We store this securely in our database.
  • Information collected automatically: when you visit Scamper Days we collect standard analytics data including pages visited, time spent on the site, browser type, and approximate location (country/city level). This is collected via Google Analytics. We do not collect your full IP address.
  • Cookies: we use cookies to understand how people use our site and to improve the experience. See Section 5 for more detail.

3. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and improve the Scamper Days website
  • Review and respond to activity listing submissions
  • Respond to enquiries sent via our contact form
  • Understand which pages and activities are most useful to our visitors
  • Comply with our legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Third parties we work with

To operate Scamper Days we work with the following third party services:

  • Google Analytics - website analytics. Data is anonymised and aggregated. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Supabase - secure database storage for activity listings and form submissions. Supabase's privacy policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
  • Unsplash - we use the Unsplash API to display activity images. No personal data is shared with Unsplash.

Scamper Days is also an affiliate website. This means that some activity listings and links on our site may be affiliate links, through which we earn a commission if you make a booking or purchase - at no extra cost to you. We work with a range of travel, leisure, and family activity brands and booking platforms. If you click through to a third party site and make a booking, that platform's own privacy policy will apply. We only partner with brands we consider relevant and useful to our audience.

5. Cookies

We use the following cookies on Scamper Days:

  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) - these help us understand how visitors use the site. They do not identify you personally.
  • Functional cookies - these are essential for the site to work correctly.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use Scamper Days.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data

7. Data retention

We retain contact form submissions and activity listing submissions for up to 2 years, after which they are deleted. Analytics data is retained in line with Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back periodically.
